How to add a map to your site

Zoom and pan to your location

Head over to Google Maps and zoom and pan in the mapping window to determine what map you want to display in your site. Choose the settings you want to display (Map, Satellite or Terrain) and fine-tune the zoom and pan setting to ensure the map displays at the resolution you require.

Grab the embed code

Click the 'Link' action and then click 'Customize and preview embedded map' to customize your embedded map further. Ensure that what you embed matches your Tank site: in our case the width of this content area is 620px, so we chose to embed a map of width 620px and height 320px. This matches the layout of our site but it's up to you to configure something that suits you.

This code:

<iframe width="620" height="320" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src=",18.450165&spn=0.17038,0.270882&z=12&output=embed&s=AARTsJqzARj-Z8VnW5pkPMLMmZbqrJcYpw"></iframe><br /><small><a href=",18.450165&spn=0.17038,0.270882&z=12&source=embed" style="color:#0000FF;text-align:left">View Larger Map</a></small>

will result in this map:

A map can be embedded into any content area: page or post - it could even be displayed persistently in the header or sidebar of your site.
